Jakarta - Tanggal 26 Mei lalu Ketua Komite
Normalisasi Agum Gumelar mengirimkan surat kepada FIFA, dalam hal ini
presidennya Sepp Blatter, terkait kongres 20 Mei lalu. Isi surat itu
berupa permohonan maaf agar Indonesia tidak dijatuhkan sanksi.
Kongres 20 Mei yang semestinya dipakai untuk memilih kepengurusan baru malah berakhir deadlock karena kekisruhan tak kunjung mereda sejak dibukanya kongres pukul 14.00 itu.
Maka
agenda FIFA yang meminta PSSI memiliki kepengurusan baru sebelum
tanggal 21 Mei gagal terlaksana. Dan seperti yang ditakutkan banyak
orang, sanksi menunggu di depan mata.
Agum dan Plt Sekjen PSSI
Djoko Driyono sudah berangkat ke Zurich 27 Mei kemarin demi melaporkan
seluruh kejadian di kongres kemarin. Namun sebelum itu Agum sudah
mengirimkan surat lebih dulu kepada Blatter, yang isinya meminta
Indonesia tidak diberi sanksi.
Sebab menurut Agum apa yang terjadi selama sidang bukanlah keinginan dari mayoritas stakeholder
sepakbola di Indonesia dan meminta maaf atas kelakukan anggota kongres
yang telah memalukan perwakilan FIFA, yakni Thierry Regenass serta Frank
van Hattum.
Sebagai informasi saja, tanggal 31 Mei hingga 1 Juni
FIFA akan mengadakan kongres tahunan untuk memilih presiden baru. Namun
dari agenda FIFA
yang tercantum di situs resminya, tak ada pembahasan sanksi untuk
Indonesia. Yang ada hanyalah membahas sanksi yang menimpa Bosnia
Hezergovina serta Brunei Darussalam

Dear President Blatter
Situation of The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI)
It
is with a deep sense of regret that I write to you today, due the
events that transpired at the PSSI Congress on 20 May, 2011.
I
would like to inform you that those who behaved with indiscipline and a
lack of respect toward FIFA anda the sanctity of FIFA's Directives and
decisions, are not the voice of the genuine stakeholders of Indonesian
Football. The vast majority of PSSI together with the millions of
football fans in the country loyally obey and respect the rules and
regulations of FIFA governing body of world football.
The
Normalisation Commitee is commited towards overcoming these
difficulties and with the assistance of FIFA are confident of reaching
the desired outcome for the good of Indonesian football.
On
behalf of the Indonesian football family, I wish to convey our nation's
fervent hope the FIFA wil look upon the situation in PSSI favourably
and provide us with a second chance to correct our past mistakes and
avoid a suspension.
I hope that in some way, these words
of support may help bring about a positive reaction from yourself anda
your colleagues in the FIFA Executive and the FIFA Congress.
